This doesn't really matter until v7 Final, but in testing the upgrade script from v6.34 to v7b3, I am getting the following error when try to post anything:

Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80040E2F)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again.
/cotpforum/post_message.asp, line 609

Anyone have an idea? All the posts are there. Changes in the admin section such as adding forums works fine. It seems to only be on posting new topics or replies.

If you want to visit the test, go to http://rexpage.homedns.org/cotpforum - http://rexpage.homedns.org/cotpforum and try it.

You must have a corrupted database then, you need to compact and repair the databases before and after the upgrade.

borg,

Did both of those and the same results. The database doesn't give any idications of corruption as I can open it fine after the updgrade. I know its not corrupted before the upgrade as it is a straight FTP download from a working 6.34 forum and will power a 2nd 6.34 forum just fine.

I'm not too concerned at this point since I don't test the beta's on anything I plan to use live unlike some forum users.

However, I am a little concerned about being able to eventually upgrade this one particular forum. Any ideas or has anyone else had problems with the Access upgrade script to v7b4?

Hmm--guess 3rd time is the charm. I went through the same sequence a 3rd time and now it works fine.

So nevermind on my little problem .
