Dear everyone, My girlfriend needs to buy a laptop for University. It needs to be pretty good because she does like to play a few games every now and then. She needs a laptop because she will be taking it into class every now and then. A 17" screen would be ideal because shes doing graphic design. Budget of around £1,000, please only point me to UK websites! Thanks for any help. Tom |

I'd talke into a 12 inch screen if I were you. The 17 inchers weigh a
ton and she'll wind up having to get some big strong guy carry it for
her

and the battery drain of 17 inch.. i would rather go for the new blend of ultra slim and compact 12 inchers.. for graphic design.. rather get a better desktop with 21 inch screen..
having a lot of performance built into portables at the expense of their battery life and waste heat kind of kills there purpose
