i have just started to learn XML adn i was wondering, if you use asp and XML in the same page waht is its file ending?

thats not possible to have both... XML data must exist in its own world

you could build and XML string and load that into an XML object, thats purely ASP coding though..

for instance
Set objXML = Server.CreateObject("Microsoft.XMLDOM")
objXML.Load("<root><node1>Node 1</node1><node2>Node 2</node2></root>")
