For the life of me i can't get this dang forum to work on godaddy.com...
 
I can't even create the dam string to rename the freaking database because i don't know where the fooking database address is...everytime i try and log in i get an errror...NOTHING WORKS
2 days wasted trying to figure this junk out!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!
 
in the normal place where there is the str="database/whatever.mdb" they sent me this string and i don't even know what most of this crap is...
 
conn="Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;UID=user;Password=password;Initial Catalog=DSNname;Data Source=IPaddressoftheSQLserver,PortNumber"
 
wtf is all that crap?!1?!?1?!?!?!
 
whsql-v03.prod.mesa1.secureserver.net is the host name

who fool gave u sugesstion to host with godaddy.. they are only good for domain regs.. and offcourse super bowl advertisement featuring candice michelle LOLWink

I have GoDaddy for about 10 websites, they are pretty good 90% of the time, unless you have a server issue going on and then they are useless.
 
I would suggest copying this over to your site, and then you will know what you can and cannot do on the server:

I have web wiz at about 4 sites on godaddy without incidence.

The asp code in the aspdiag link is encoded. I don't recommend running any code that you can't review first. Wink
