I changed the admin groups name to yonetici grubu which is Turkish means admin. Now in some topics not all, when i wanted to edit a post or change the topic it gives me "you have not sufficient permission to do this" error. but for example i can enter the edit box, i can write and when i tried to post this edited post it gives me this error, not when i click the change button, it is interesting. what can be problem, to change the admin groups name to yonetici grubu. there is still have a user named admin which is admin.

this is correct, there was a swucruity breach within the application and editing was turned off.

please try the below

Change line 638 of post_message.asp to the following:-

If (strMode = "editTopic" OR strMode = "edit") AND (blnAdmin = false AND blnModerator = false) Then

Ok, I made the change to my asp page as directed. Now I have a new problem. Every time I post, I get this message

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed

/towtalk/forum/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 153

800401f3

After I create my message and hit the post button, a page opens with the above error message

I believe it thinks I am trying to dowuble post. If I hit the back button, the post was successful, if I hit the forward button after that, it tells me that I tried to double post. I only hit the post button once.

What the heck did I screw up....

this is a email error

your email settings arent correct or the server is down, or not allowing your email address.

the actual posting is working fine, its the email side of the application you dont have set up corectly

I wasn't sending an email. Oh wait.

The person I was posting in reply-to has their email notification turned on. That's it, isn't it. I haven't got the email system setup yet....

yup.
You can turn off email notifications from the control panel until you get email set up.
