Interesting blog there the boss.

I remember when the Kingdom and some of the Emirates didn't want to allow internet traffic to pass through their countries on the way to someplace else - let alone have connections to it within the countries. It had to do with the bits and bytes of tcp/ip packets in the cables and microwave channels containing possible pornography which wasn't allowed in any form

It put a crimp on worldwide deployment of the internet for about 6 months or so. Fortunately they changed their minds so the net didn't have to be routed around the peninsula.

Personally I have never liked myspace. The sites are really slow and just worthless IMHO.

If youve got a blog just host it on your own site and the speeds will be so much better

True MySpace is not great for a blog, but for networking it rocks!

I GOT THIS Dead

Either your network or ip address has been banned from Slashdot

...due to script flooding that originated from your network or ip address -- or this IP might have been used to post comments designed to break web browser rendering. Or you crawled us with a rude robot, especially one that doesn't understand RFCs very well.

If you feel that this is unwarranted, feel free to include your IP address (212.138.64.173) in the subject of an email, and we will examine why there is a ban. If you fail to include the IP address (again, in the subject!), then your message will be deleted and ignored. I mean come on, we're good, we're not psychic.

If you think your IP number is different from 212.138.64.173, tell us both.

If you are using a browser with some kind of add-on that crawls or caches pages for you, tell us what it is.

Since you can't read the FAQ because you're banned, here's the http://it.slashdot.org/faq/accounts.shtml#ac900 - relevant portion :

Why is my IP banned?

· Perhaps you are running some sort of program that loaded thousands of Slashdot Pages. We have limited resources here and are fairly protective of them. We need to make sure that everyone shares. If your IP loads thousands of pages in a day, you will likely be banned. Please note that many proxy servers load large quantities of pages, but we can usually distinguish between proxy servers being used by humans, and IPs running software that is hammering our servers.

· Your IP might have been used to perform some sort of denial of service attack against Slashdot. These range from simple programs that just load a lot of pages, to programs that attempt to coordinate an avalanche of posts in the forums (often through misconfigured "Open Relay" proxy servers).

· You might be using a proxy server that is also being used by another person who did something from the above list. You should have your proxy server administrator mailto:banned@slashdot.org - contact us .

· Your IP might have been used to post comments designed to break web browser rendering.

How do I get an IP Unbanned?

Email mailto:banned@slashdot.org - banned@slashdot.org . Make sure to include the IP in question, and any other pertinent information. If you are connecting through a proxy server, you might need to have your proxy server's admin contact us instead of you.

They must have blocked your whole IP range

Heres a mirror: Tongue

DJ_Vegas writes "One clever MySpace user looking to expand his buddy list recently figured out how to force others to become his friend, and ended up http://www.betanews.com/article/CrossSite_Scripting_Worm_Hits_MySpace/1129232391 - creating the first self-propagating cross-site scripting (XSS) worm . In less than 24 hours, 'Samy' had amassed over 1 million friends on the popular online community. According to BetaNews, the worm's code utilized XMLHTTPRequest - a JavaScript object used in AJAX Web applications and was spreading at a rate of 1,000 users every few seconds before MySpace shut down its site. Thankfully, the script was written for fun and didn't try to take advantage of unpatched security holes in IE to create a massive MySpace botnet."

You could possibly make something similar on msn spaces using the add contact msnim protocol and some javascript.

10000 contacts would be funny it would crash msn with all the conversation/authorization dialogs.
