How do you go about selling a business, as in where do you find people looking to buy one, and how are business valued? I heard a years turnover is what a business usually goes for?

I would recommend that you talk with a commercial realtor. They can get
you headed in the right direction and at least hook you up with someone
that can help you get a qualified appraisal of your business.

I've heard good things about this forum, so put it for sale up on there to see if it generates any interest:

If anyone is a member on that forum, I would appreciate it if someone could vouch for me!

You wrote up a very good document and if the number are correct I am sure you could get descent offers. Good luck.

May I ask why you are selling up?
As after all the hard work setting it all up, it looks like it's now starting to pay off.

Well, if anyone goes anywhere near my ballpark figure, for me that's a lot of money that would pay of my entire student loan.
I setup the site expecting a few pounds a day, and it's far exceeding that, so for me it's been a sucess. If it can pay of my student loan, then for me thats a success I didn't even dream about before setting it up.
I'm also in the process of working on another business site, and development would be a lot quicker if I could sell my other one off.

Ebay looks like a joke to me for businesses and websites, haven't seen a single business/website on there that gets anything near it's worth.

Never got a threatening email, one threatening phone call though from a smelly irate customer, but not much to tell really!
