Ok, so I am using 1asphost, and I have the lite version of the forum (which specifically states that it is for hosts like 1asphost) and I've come across a problem:

some hosts only allow read/write ability on folders places in the a folder named "database" in the main area of the file hosting, which means I had to move the database from

my site/MHQ/forum/admin/database/

to

my site/database/

and that's fine... changed the location in common.asp to .../database/mydatabasename.mdb

and the problem came when that still showed errors in common.asp when I tried to load the forum. it still says there is an error in that line, and sometimes it tells me there is an error in the line that says

adoCon.Open

and I don't even know what that is for

anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix this?

make sure the path to the database is correct

was it a path not found error or something else

also make sure to change the path within the admin/common.asp file as well
