I am now using your forum v7.95 and have several problems.

My email settings are exactly the same as I would use for the Web Wiz Guest Book (the Guestbook works fine)

New Members are not receiving the Activation Email and I am receiving an email as follows:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

followed by the email address.

In the Email Notification Config all the radio options are set to 'on'.

I also note from reading other posts that on checking the functions_send_mail.asp file, it is 15kb in the /asp_pages/forum/functions/ folder and 10kb in the /asp_pages/forum/admin/functions/ folder - is this correct?

I also noted that Activation Emails may not work with certain email addresses - is this correct and if so which ones?

Without more info on why the delivery email has failed it impossible to tell what the problem is, check the email headers for the exact reason the email bounced.

However, as the forum is actually sending the emails it suggests a problem with the way the SMTP server you are using is setup.

It could be that your host only allows emails to be relayed onto localhost email addresses, the email address is incorrect, the SMTP server is blacklisted and emails from it bounce, and many other reasons.

With email activation what emails bounce depends again on the reasons I gave in the last paragraph. Many AOL users will only receive emails if they first white list your email address.

Thanks for your quick response, I have now changed the host and all works perfectly fine - thanks.

When posted to the Forum a screen was displayed indicating that the post would not be submitted as the Forum was moderated.

I have been posting to my Forum (logged in as a normal user - 'tester') and my posts are added immediately to the forum.  Where or how do I stop this happening and have the Forum Moderator check for content first?

I have all Forums set to be either moderated by me (Administrator) or someone specific authorised to be a moderator.  I have only given 'tester' post/reply/edit permissions.

The post approval feature is currently being tested and is not available in the current download version.
