I changed the setup file to disable certain features of the RTE and they did not actually disable. I do not get an any error messages either the options just continue to work.

Sorry about the double post, first time i had post issue so I was not sure it went thru

Very very strange, I changed where my page points for RTE then changed it back to where RTE really is and now it works. That makes no sense.

Sorry to have bothered you.

hello! my name is keith, and i just want to know how am i going to disable some of the features of the RTE. I don't know that much about programming so if you could probably provide me with steps it will be much appreciated. i just have 2 things in my mind:

1) disable some features such as upload photo, text color etc.
2) I have a set of CSS that i would like to use instead of a preformatted Heading 1, 2, 3, and paragraphs which is a default in the system. (i presume)

so that's it, hope you can help. Thanks in advance!

1. Edit the file RTE_configuration/RTE_setup.asp with a text editor and disable any features you don't want to use.

2. Applying CSS is almost impossible with browsers like IE that have crap CSS support in it's RTE API. The Web Wiz RTE relies on the RTE API of the browser you are using, this limits what you can do, with IE the code it's RTE API produces is shocking and support for CSS is almost non-exsitant.
