I have a Moderator with an aol email address.  He has received a PM request for a password on our forum.

Having read the message he clicked on the reply button but all he got was the page below - there is no reply box displayed.  What is he doing wrong?

How does he reply to the request?

The PM reply works fine for me (administrator using wanadoo address and IE) however the Moderator uses an AOL address and from the 'screenshot' he sent me he is also using AOL 9.0

Would that make any difference?

i cant see why the address woulsd make any difference for the part for writing a message as its not called on that page.

so its something else.

i cant see why its just that , its something to do with your install i would say because no one else has an issue,

i dont think its AOL browser or address, did you try re uploading the files.. also what usernae was the pm to

No I didn't try re uploading the files because I've had other members using the PM without problems.

However, I have just put in place the code at the following thread:

http://forums.webwiz.net/forum_posts.asp?TID=12329&KW=top%2Elocation%2Ereplace%28self%2Elocation%2E - http://forums.webwiz.net/forum_posts.asp?TID=12329&KW=top%2Elocation%2Ereplace%28self%2El ocation%2E

because some of my Forum members were having difficulties in receiving an activation email (AOL users mainly).

I believe that I entered it correctly as stated in the thread.

check if the ip address is banned make sure you aren't using localhost as the mail server and have authentification if required because aol will ban alot of servers.

check the IP at dnsstuff or whois.sc/ip address

try sending a pm to the user in question it must be that because AOL browser shouldn't effect it nor the fact a AOL email address is used because its not called for within the page.

try sending a pm to the user yourself and get the moderator to try a different user to pm aswell.

I'm sorry but that first paragraph was like an 'RAF fly past' - straight over my head!

If you have the time and patience I would appreciate if you could run that by me again using words of not more than one syllable and as simple as possible.  Confused
