I want to use the DetailsView in ASP.NET 2.0 to edit records - but I have a problem. By default the DetailsView gives me little tiny textboxes - I need textboxes with scroll bars. Any ideas how to accomplish this? No luck this far googling. Thanks.
David.

It is very simple really:

Go to edit Fields, select the field you want to change and select "Convert to Template Field."

After that, select that template field from the Template Editor (Edit Items View)

There you can stretch out the box as you want or replace it with whatever else you want (if you replace controls you need to redo the data binding)

And voila you got a multi-row textbox

The code for that looks like this:

(edit) let me know if you need the code. wwg does not paste nicely from VS.
