Hi guys,

I have set Email Activation of Membership to ON and it doesnt appear to be working at all. Upon registration Im receiving the following message...

Thank-you for registering to use Long Lost Friends - Discussion Forum

You can access forum features and change your Forum Membership preferences through your Forum http://localhost/forum/member_control_panel.asp - Member Control Panel Menu

regardless of the admin setting. Im using dreamweaver MX and have just done a "replace all" sitewide on any sql statement that holds a value of "approved = true" or "approved = false" to "approved = 0" or "approved = 1".

Perhaps I have accidentally hard set a vaue somewhere because its not taking effect when making this change in the admin section.

Which file can I check this on?

are you logged in as an administrator if so your account is overrided and not required to be checked.

try withj a test account.

failing that try re uploading the files

Yep something was screwed, as I reuploaded the files and its now ok.

I was wondering if you can help me. I am the admin for a forum. I can't seem to figure out how to get it to send me an email when new users are activiated. Do you have any idea?

I'm currently using AspEmail.

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

There isn't an option for the admin to get an email when a new user activates their account.

You would need to modify the code to do this.
