I am trying to have two separate forums but I want to make the members and passwords common. I see that there is talk of a category filter. Can anybody help me with this?

I think the simplest way is you can copy the table of Author from one database to another one regularly. But maybe you don't like it. Another way, more complicated, you should mod the ASP code which check the user's identity. So maybe you need to modify the common.asp and create two SQL_server_connection for different purposes.

I am not sure that is the way I would want to go. I liked the way mad-dog set up his portal using a filter to separate categories. I am just not sure of the exact steps. Any body want to help out here? Mad-dog?
