I tried to check the problem but without succeed!

the forum gives me the value "0" in the intGroupID (I think because this is the default value), and I can't continue with my forum untill this problem will be solved.

The forums database already comes loaded with the required default Admin and Guest accounts that should not be touched or altered.

The Admin account requires that it has the ID of 1, not 0

No, I mean that in the DB all right, but the code give me the intGroupID "0", probably because it's the default value in the code (when reseting the variables)...

maybe it's problem with reading data from the Access DB,
can comebody help?Cry

It's very important.

The admin group is group ID 1, there is no group ID 0

The admin accound it hard coded to use the admin group with the Group_ID of 1

When I enter the admin panel, it's redirecting me to "inciffient_permissions.asp" though I'm the admin.

can somebody check it out?

Let's try to clarify the problem a little:

1.  You are able to log into the forum using the "administrator" account?
2.  You are able to do other things in the forum as admin, like locking topics and moving posts?
3.  But, if you click the ""Admin" link, you're redirected to the "Insufficent Permissions" page?

On what ASP page and on which line does "the code give me the intGroupID "0""?

-------------
p.s. I'm not affiliated with Web Wiz Guide in any way. I'm just an average Web Wiz user repaying my debt for the use of their fine forum by trying to help other Web Wiz Guide users.

If you have updated the cookie name or made any other alterations in the main common.asp file make sure you have made the same changes in the admin/common.asp file.

It could also be a corruted file, try reuploading the files again.

Thank you -boRg-, the problem was the physically path of the db.
The file common.asp in the admin directory wasn't updated.

Now there is another problem, when I edit some posts my browser
automatically redirecting to insufficient_permission.asp.
I thought there is a connection between the problems but there is no
connection.

can someone help?

7.96 Ermm
The edit button is visible but after I click submit it doesn't update the post and redirects the browser to 'insufficient_permission.asp'.
