Someone is complaining about 'abuse of certificate', and that the website in question is attempting to contact his computer everytime he acceses the Internet.

I'm confused, has anyone come accross this before?

He probably hit the close button on some pop-up that was faked to look like a cert.
Moral of the story is to never close a pop-up using a button on the pop-up or the "X" in the top-right corner. The spyware folk love to fake those.

Always close pop-ups from the taskbar - right-click on the button for the window and hit close.
