Well this is for some client. Four 1U rack servers will be housed in a semi outdoor location and i was very concerned about heat issues. Since they are dual processor servers and will be considerably loaded. And then at the magic moment of midnight, i came up with a funny idea of using a bevrage refrigator. The inside of the refrigator compartment is of perfect width matching 1U server, have metal protruding on the sides to hold the rack, have got a double glazed transparent glass door with lock. Quite secure, thermally managed and visible. i can keep a straight face everytime i think of this, buts its still doable. Only concern how to keep moisture away from a cold server when its pulled out for maintainence.

The climate-controlled cabinets I've seen usually have fans for pulling the chilled air in and pushing the hot air out the top or back. You'd need a pretty heavy duty chiller unit on the refrigerator to deal with the hot air put out by 4 units unless the hot air is removed from the space.
