Would there be any reason as to why members cant see each other online? It appears you can only see yourself yet there are other people online ?? Huh?

Are you referring to the active users page?

If so users are tracked by IP addresses, if for whatever reason all users connection to your forum use the same IP address it will course the active users page to not run correctly.
