I'm trying to Install V8 so I can have a good look around and help test it a little. I have uploaded it and when I go to forum/admin.asp I get the login screen. When I login as administrator (letmein) I get this error message:
Error Type:
ADODB.Connection.1 (0x800A0BB9) The application is using arguments that are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another. admin_common.asp, line 142
Thanks for any help

It could be a corrupted file, try re-uploading the files again.
If that fails, what database version are you using? so that this can be investigated further.

Re-Uploaded files but same error. I am using Access.
I know you are busy, so don't worry about it mate - It's odds on that I have made a silly mistake

Line 142 in that file should be the line that makes the connection to the database.
Are you getting this error in the main forum as it uses the same connection details?

Iwas trying to set it up on a different site to my Forum (a very cheap site at that) I think maybe I was doing something wrong or the Host doesn't support something.
Now got it o the same host as my Forum and working fine thanks
