It's seems that I can not email anyone with an AOL account from this site or event mention webwiz.net within an email to an AOL user. If I have anything in the email that mentions webwiz.net AOL is bouncing the email back telling me that my domain is blacklisted due to complaits from AOL users. Interesting. Are you sure it is AOL and not a blacklist AOL uses? See here: http://postmaster.info.aol.com/ ;) |

| If you are getting error 421 this is a temporary ban and lasts 24 hours. A 554 is a permant ban. |

I've been told that the message viewer on AOL has a "report this as spam" button on it. All it takes is a couple of reports to get on the blacklist. FWIW, the reseller forum where I host has had a lot of discussions lately about how AOL is kicking back a lot of their customers valid mail. No real solution to a problem that makes their mail service amost unusable. -------------

It seems that it simple to get blacklisted by AOL, but all their links to get un-blacklisted or to contact them about it appear to be dead links. Looks like another reason to avoid AOL. Can you not send the e-mails from webwiz.net instead? Also disable notifcations for AOL users as that is most likely to get you blacklisted. |

No, it still goes through the webwiz.net mail server. I haven't added an SPF record as I'm not entirly sure how it works. I found that earlier today and added an SPF record for this site. More and more email administrators are requiring SPF records in DNS. At
the moment I'm having a hard time trying to email @wp.pl addresses. I
keep getting rejected. And I've done everything possible to get things
working right. The only thing that I haven't been able to do is to get
the reverse DNS record to resolve to the domain. Which is rare except
for large organizations that lease IPs directly. It's just a never ending battle...
