not sure if this is a bug or wot, but..

am subscribed to the "Version 8 Suggestions" thread (dunno why Confused)

and the title of the emails randomly change
mostly its:
"Web Wiz Forums : Version 8 Suggestions - POST THEM HERE!!"

but like 1 out of 5 emails the title is:
"Web Wiz Forums : Version 8 Suggestions - POST THEM HERE!!"

just thought id let you know

This is because this is an older pre-version 8 post, the topic subjects are not encoded any more on the way into the database, so this isn't an issue with new posts.

no borg,
what i ment was, the same topic title changes as i said above
1 out of 5 emails show the o in post title

and wondered why the same title would change now and then

I do understand what you are saying, but as new topics don't have the encoding, it shouldn't be to much of an issue.

I have had a quick look to try and workout why this is but couldn't see anything off hand as to waht this is

if it helps i think ive figured it out...

it seems to be, that posts by members, that are waiting approval - the title tends to be fine

but the unencoded titles seem to only happen on your posts, moderators, basically posts that by-pass the Post Approval system

It's probaly not decoding the subject in the new_post.asp file.

I'll look into the coding in that file.
