Here is the UPDATED version of the Army Skin. I designed it for my America's Army squad forum. It's about 90% complete, the only thing I need is custom images that fit the color scheme. I am looking for someone who can create all new graphics for the forum.
I hope you enjoy this skin.

You can view a live demo here: http://forum.tacticalwarriors.com/ - http://forum.tacticalwarriors.com/ Download: http://mack.sidrahq.com/WebWiz/skins/army.zip - http://mack.sidrahq.com/WebWiz/skins/army.zip
The installation instructions are included, but here they are:
Thank you for downloading my WebWiz v8.0 Army Skin =)! You can download the latest version from http://mack.sidrahq.com/webwiz/skins
Version: 1.1 Released Tuesday, January 24th, 2006. Updated Saturday, May 13th, 2006
Updates 5/13/06 - Skin is now working 100% with WebWiz v8.0. - Rewrote skin to work with 8.0 final instead of 8.0 beta 1. - Fixed a few minor issues
========== NOTICE ========== I am not sure where I got the original images. If you are the original creator, or know who created them, please let me know so I can give proper credit.
========== INSTALLATION ========== I set up this skin in a different way. If you don't like the skin, you can easily revert BACK to your original skin. Here's what you need to do:
=== Step 1 === Upload the "skins" file within the ZIP folder. Make your ftp looks similiar to this: \forums\skins\army
=== Step 2 === Once everything is uploaded, go to the admin section of your forum. In the left menu, click "Configure forum skin". Change to the following options: Skin CSS File Path: skins/army/ Image Folder Path: skins/army/images/
NOTE: Due to changes in 8.0 final, you do NOT need to include the name of the css file. Only the path to the CSS
=== Step 3 === Click "Update Forum Skin". You're done! Enjoy the new theme.
========== Notes ========== I'm looking for someone who can redo all, or 50% of the images for the skin. As I mentioned, the current images are incomplete and I lack any Photoshop skills. If you make new images, contact thomasmack@gmail.com with the updated files and I'll update the zip and give you credit!
|
Comments please! :)
By the way, if you do use this skin please post your website URL or PM me so I can see how many people are using it! http://mack.sidrahq.com/Screenshots/Random/forum-ss.jpg -

I'd love to, but I don't have any. I'm looking for someone who can recreate all the images (some of them even use the original images).
I might decide to just go ahead and do it myself. There's a few things I need to fix =)

Hey mack,
love the skin , but can not get it to work
I place the CSS file in a subdirectory and the images folder of that same subdirerectory just as you described in the install.txt, but all I get after hitting the apply button is what looks like NO CSS... (have not even checked the images yet).
Even tried renaming the original CSS folder and Images folder and put your skin into the default folders did not work.
Any ideas...?

What happened in the final version of 8.0, -bOrg- changed the HTML code on all the pages to include "Path\default_style.css". So what you have to do is rename the CSS file to "default_style.css" and it should fix the issue.
I think since people are interested I'm going to go ahead and fix the issues with 8.0 final so if you wait awhile I'll update.

Hey everyone, I updated the Army skin to v1.1. It's now 100% compatible with WebWiz 8.0 final (at least it should be), the only thing that needs a face lift is the images.
Thanks and enjoy!

It worked for me, and I am using the latest version of WWF. I love it! I actually built my forum for Americas Army. So this is perfect for me. Sorry I do not know how to do images though. Great job!

Looking forward to the update. Have been using it for sometime now.
I just upgraded to 8.03 and had to change the name of the army.css to default_style.css in order for it to work with this new version.
I noticed, however, that everything is pretty snazzy except for the calender...it's completely black. What do I need to change to fix it?

It's completely black (the calendar)? You might need to update the skin. Take a look:
http://forum.tacticalwarriors.com/calendar.asp - http://forum.tacticalwarriors.com/calendar.asp
That's how it should look.

, Would it be ok for me to add this to http://webwiz.snsmedia.org - Webwiz Skins ?
I'm trying to get all the skins demo'd in the same place so users can find it easier to find the right skin.

This is a really nice skin, been using it for a while, but the PM text comes out white on white background. How do I fix that and are there updated icons yet? The icons I have don't really "fit" the theme.

I looked at the CSS and was like OMG
Would someone PLEASE copy and paste the part that I have to change? Oh, and what color...I want it to be consistent with the other parts of the theme, so what color would you recommend?

I'm not familier with the skin itself as i have been unable to contact the author about using it on http://webwiz.snsmedia.org - Webwiz Skins .
Which peice do you need to change? Is it the color of a PM once it's been posted or the color of the text box while your typing?

It's the color of the background after the message has been sent...when you go to view a PM, it's white text on white background so either the text or the background needs to be changed on *received* messages. Which ever is easier to change, I don't care and thank you SO MUCH.
Mikey, I visited your skins site BTW...awesome dude! Thank you for providing that!!!

I installed this skin to have a look, and all the backgrounds etc are fine. Have you modified the default_style.css file in anyway? If not it may be a corrupt file. Try reuploading the default_style.css file again just incase.
EDIT: Including screenshot
