Hello all, I can't seem to get the database to build correctly using WWF 8B1 ans MySQL 5. I keep getting the following errors: Error Creating the Table tblForum I'm guessing this is because I'm using the newer MySQL 5, but does anyone have any comments or suggestions? I would be willing to try out the access version for now if that is what is necessary (we are currently running Access on WWF7), but I would need to make sure the data would easily transfer later....

Try editing the setup file to remove the default values for the date fields and see if that solves the issue.

Good thinking. I tried this and was able to get the database configured correctly. Will this bug be fixed by the final release? I also found a problem if I try to change the table prefix in the db config file. It works for creating the database, but not for viewing the forum (the main page seems to default to the "tbl" prefix. New problem...
Now I'm getting:
error '80020009'
Exception occurred. /common.asp, line 501 When trying to login the default administrator account. Any suggestions?? |

After your post I went through the setup file and made the updates this morning to it  Presently the database table prefix is not supported in version 8 and is listed as a known bug. The reason for this is that it's much simpler to debug the SQL queries without the table prefix in them.
