Since I recently upgraded my board to the 7.9 (one week before you released the 8.0)  I am missing the "upload pictures" icon on the posting box.

I used to have it but never set the upload as active.  But now I am wanting to allow upload of pictures and don't know what happened to the icon when I upgraded.

Can you help?

You need to setup the upload tools form the admin area and also setup permissions for users to upload files/images.

Security has been tightned in the latest 7.97 version for uploading as hackers have been using the upload tools to hack web sites.

I set the permissions for users with 250+ posts are able to uplaod and of course admin too.

The icons now appear to those users (and myself)

I created a folder called "forumpics" and gave it read write permisions, it is located in my root web.

In the admin section of the forum where it says: Image Upload Folder Path*
This is the path from the forum files to the folder that images will be upload in. The folder must be inside of the root of your web site and have write permissions enabled.
eg. ../images/upload

I simply put in "forumpics"

I think I covered everything.  I have tried each one of the different upload options  and none work.  My server is Godaddy.

I know that I am able to upload this way to my server as I have another program I run on another site that we are alb eto upload pictures from a browser.

Where did I go wrong?

I DID IT!! I DID IT!! All I needed to do was move my uploads file to the forum directory, instead of being in my root web!  I am soo excited!
