I have been researching the help files of the forum looking for how to suspend users. On the http://www.webwiz.net/web_wiz_forums/forum_features.asp?mode=forum - Forum Features list, it says I can "Suspend or delete unwanted member accounts". On member_control_panel.asp, there is a menu option where I can "delete, suspend, change user group etc. of member". However, I do not ever have the option to suspend users on this section of the forum. I can disactivate users, but they can simply resend the activation email to themselves and activate their account.

I think that suspending and disactivating accounts are two different things, because in a language file, I saw a string that says:
Quote Sorry, this function is disabled as your Forum Membership has been suspended!

I can't get this to show up when I disactivate a user!

Is this just a feature that was never implemented into the forum? Is it a static place holder for version 8.0? Or is there a secret button on the forum that I'm not aware of?

PS: I'm using version 7.97, and I'm using a link removal license. Need any more information and I'll be happy to supply it.

If you edit a users profile in admin mode there is an option at the bottom of the page to make the users account un-active.

By setting the account as not being active it will suspend the users account and they will not be able to re-activate their account by using an activation email.

Only youself or a moderator can re-activate the account.

I registered normally as a user called "testsuspend" on my forum. I activated my account through email, then I logged into my admin account and suspended my test account. After that, I logged back into my testsuspend account, and I was able to reactivate the testsuspend account through email.

There was a bug with an older version whereby users could do this, but it has bene fixed. Make sure you are running all the files form the latest version.
