I have two users (one 'joe public' and the other being a large school setup) who have a problem when accessing the Forum.

Once they get down to clicking on an individual post to read - IE6 closes down.  They can view the Forums but when it comes down to view actual posts - then this is when IE closes down.

I've performed a search of the Forums but I am unable to find anyone else that's had this problem - any offers?  (They both use XP)

Sounds like the WYSIWYG RTE post editor maybe for some reason coursing the browser to shut down when the browsers RTE API is activated.

Try disabling the WYSIWYG editor for these users by editing their profile.

Perhaps I should've mentioned that I have logged into my Forum using the School's computers with my Forum Administrator details and at the point of having clicked on an individual message to view - IE closes down.

I will access the Forum with School's computers again, disable the WYISYG editor and see if that makes a difference.  I will keep you 'posted' (excuse the pun!)

I disabled the WYSIWYG RTE post editor for that user and they can now access the messages fine.

What causes this to be an issue?  Would it be not having the most recent Microsoft patch?

IE is a very piece of buggy software, so problems with it could be a whole range of things.
