My account has been deleted. I wrote "automatically" because that is what I heard from forum admin.

I wonder if it is true.

Ok - all about it.

I was a moderator at this forum. One day I told Admin that I quit because I did't really want to be there. I marked "inactive user" box in my profile. And that's all.

My posts were still there but I was not.

They updated the forum. My nickname - Hubeeert - same as the one here disappeared. Admin told me that the new engine of forum did this (deleted me) while updating to version 7.92

All I want to know - is it possible?

Sory for my bad English. Hope you will understand me.

I've tried to find this issue using "Search" but I couldn't

It could be possible, it depends how they updated the forum and if they messed with the database.

If you are not using your account any more, then it is best just to leave your account rather than setting it as un-active.

A tool in the admin section allows the forum admin to clean up the members table by removing all members who have not activated their accounts within a chosen time span.
