What's it for all of you?

For me it has to be the registration and edit profile pages.  Man those are so dull!

Since I switched to asp.net 2.0 completely now, they are just dragging two controls and applying some css. I think the most boring but necessar part is creating those little images like rounded corners etc. for your site.

I have to agree, it's the admin pages I hate doing as well, just so that web master can be lazy and have a online form for those rare occasions they need to alter something in the database.

Yeah admin pages suck, all the same and usually only one person gets to see them.  You have to be pretty disciplined not to cut corners and be lazy on them.

I try to get away with just using config files/scripts whenever I can

Yeah I know, but I mena little graphics in general. Admin pages don't bother me that much as I don't write stuff for others, just for myself I keep them simple, just some generic forms out of the box that are usually done in a days work.

I don't mind creating admin pages since I started using http://www.dbqwiksite.com/ - dbQwikSite to generate them.  I know I am giving away a secret, and its probably considered cheating, but for making Admin pages or other similar pages with List/Add/Update/Delete, its a big time-saver, especially if the pages are simple.  It generates both ASP and PHP, which is great.  It supports MS Access, MS SQL, MySQL, and many other databases.

I would say for me the most boring part of creating a website is adding content... and more content... and more content... and more content.  I know its necessary, but my copy paste fingers start hurting after awhile.

On projects where I have a budget for it, I usually hire someone else to add all or most of the content after I have built the site's structure.  They don't need many technical skills since I create an admin section for them to input the products or article or whatever content needs to go up.

And I am not a typist, so anything given to me must be electronic... or else the price quoted must include the fee for me hiring a data entry person.  Typing is something that I am not fast at (I can poke keys fast when it comes from my brain, but when trying to copy from a piece of paper, I'm terribly slow).  Plus I dislike it.  I would say that is the most boring part, except that I refuse to do it.  I know people who don't mind the extra work typing up all the content though, so it works out good.
