I sorry to tell you this but Web Wiz Forums will not run on Apache as the 3rd party tools for Apache for running ASP don't fully support ASP.

You need to be running a Windows IIS web server to run Web Wiz Forums.

Also Apache will not give you better security than IIS, it's how you setup your web server that decides on how secure it is. IIS has a lock down tool to help tighten up security.

Web Wiz Forums is NOT supported on Apache, the reason:-

ASP is a Microsoft product, designed by Microsoft and only supported by Microsoft on it's Windows IIS platform.

ASP can run on other web servers by using 3rd party products not written by Microsoft, however, these 3rd party products on other web servers are not very good, don't perform very well, and don't fully support ASP thus Web Wiz Forums will not run on these other platforms.

As a rule of thumb it is best to use ASP on a Windows IIS server and to use Apache and PHP on a Unix/Linux web server.

If you want to use Apache then I would recommend looking for a PHP solution.
