Quoted from a user trying out our site's forums:

Web Wiz 7.2 and lower had some mac image upload issues that Bruce (Borg\webwiz admin) was not able to fix around that time. It forced c4dportal to abandon Web Wiz in the end and move to vbulletin.

Upload an image with a long name using mac.
The wysiwyg editor links the image perfectly after uploading, however once posted it will put either a space in the image link or it will break up the link into two parts resulting in a
red x ;)

It happened with both internet explorer for mac and firefox.

Was this still an issue with Webwiz Forum 7.92?  I'm using that version and wouldn't want Mac users complaining about image uploads.  It would be a hassle to upgrade to the newest version unless there was no fix to the bug.  To be honest, the guy who posted this didn't try it out, and I don't have a Mac handy right about now.

According to Mac users this issue has been sorted in version 7.9 and above, but I have not tested this myself.

However, version 8 has been fully tested on the MAC using the latest OSX Tiger OS in Safari, Firefox, and IE, as I was given an old MAC G4 about a month ago for testing on.

Version 8 Release Candidate 1 will be released next Tuesday, the 21st March.

Once the full version is released at Easter, I will be asking all users to upgrade to it as version 7.x will no-longer be supported as upgrades are free.

The new version will also increase performance and database hits by over 2000% in most cases and also add 100's of new features, including, sub forums, XML RSS Feeds, better security and login system, admin/moderator post approval, improved RTE for posting, faster browser loading and rendering times, full CSS support, simpler to skin, and many more features.

I have been through and spent the last 2 hours doing some final testing for version 8 thoroughly in all popular browsers on the Mac including:-

Safari
Firefox
IE 5.2

So far all tests have been fine and uploading files and images with long names works fine as well as linking to images and files with long names.

By the way IE is no-longer available for the MAC as Microsoft have withdrawn it and it is no-longer available to download, instaed Micrososft recommend that you use Safari.

At the moment the RTE WYSIWYG editor doesn't work in Safari as Apple have not yet introduced an RTE API for it, so Safari users will have to use a standard textarea. However, word from the Safari camp suggests that upcoming versions will have support for RTE.

Firefox on the MAC does have an RTE API so is supported by the WYSIWYG Editor in web wiz forums.
