Hello all,

I would like to know if there is a way to do the following:

I have a client that is running for political office and he wants a message forum on his political website that will allow people to discuss issues and questions about is campaign, etc. What he wants is to allow people to post messages but not have the messages show up until after he or another moderator approves them.

Is there a way to setup WebWiz Forums to do this easily??

Thanks in advance for your time.

nb

The present stable release 7.97 doesn't have this ability, but version 8 which will have it's Release Candidate 1 release next Tuesday will have this functionality built in.

Thanks. Right after I uploaded my question I found a mod that I could install on the present version that will do what I want for the time being. I look forward to the RC of version 8.

I would recommend using version 8 RC1.1 instead of using the mod.

If you use the mod you will have to make database changes that would mean that you wouldn't be able to upgrade to version 8.

Version 7.97 will be dropped in only a few weeks when the full version 8 is released.

There is an upgrade tool in the version 8 forum for upgrading from a 7.x database.

Sometime around Easter, maybe Easter weekend when it is quite so that support doesn't become overwhelming.

RC1.1 seems to have fixed most of the errors that people had with previous beta versions with no new known issues so far reported for RC1.1 so all is looking good to make RC1.1 into the full version at Easter.
