Subject: Problem with email registration.

I had the forum working properly as I was testing it and was able to register users.

I then made a change to the database name and moved the database folder.

Everything in the forum works fine with the exception of the registration process.

When I set up a new user account, the email message is received.  When the message is selected and the user goes to the forum, there is a message saying to contact the administrator as there was a problem with the registration.  However, the new user is able to login to the forum.

Any help in fixing this would be appreciated and thank you for an excellent product.

Nancy

The link in the email will only work once, as once the account is activated the link in the email will no-longer work and you will get this message.

If it is a long link to your forum the email component that you are using could be chopping the link. CDONTS does have a problem with doing this with longer links, try using a different email component, or shortening the link to your forum.

my forum address is just p-15.com/forum  I have people with longer user names being able to register.  One guy said he could not register when he hit the link and forwarded to me.  When I cut and pasted it, it worked fine.  Could it be a problem with the java not being set right on the browser?
