I think what you are asking is how to upgrade from version 8 beta 1 to version 8 RC1? If this is right then I'm afraid you are out of luck, as it did say in large bold red letters not to use the beta versions on live web sites as they where for testing only and upgrades tools would not be available to the full version. You will need to look through the version history file and try and create all the new database fields and tables in your old database, then update the ASP files with the new ones. |

-boRg- but this is a really tough job indeed. I too have the same problem of updating. But when I went through the code, I think I have to sit for hours together to workout each and every thing which you said!!! -------------

| This is the very reason why in numerous places, in large, bold, red, wording, in both posts and on the download page I did say NOT to use the beta software on production servers and that you may not be able to upgrade when the full version was released. |

But OK for me. I have upgraded to 8 RC 1.1. It was cool. But I was not able to make the quick login to login wih captcha. Please advice me to do it. Thanks -------------

In version 8 RC1.1 CAPTCHA is still enabled but will only appear after the 3rd un-successful login attempt on an account. If you try logging in as the same user 3 times, after the 3rd time when you try to login as that user you will be asked to also enter the CAPTCHA security image. |
