The HTML code that is produced uses the browser own built in RTE API.

Some browsers produce better code than others, with IE producing the some shocking HTML.

So I'm afraid you are a bit stuck with what you have, apart from trying a different browser.

Firefox's built in RTE API produces much better code which is probably what you are looking for
