ok a while ago i was asking here if someone has experience with onspeed.. so anyway i got a trial account with them for a week.. while it reports on average 3x accleration.. i havent seen any difference in page loading..its probably so little that a naked eye cant detect it..but anyway..one good features it allows me to bypass censorship.. better than the free anoymizers there.. compared to them.. its surely hell fast.. ima go and shell out $50 NOW!!
These are the sample reading for the first page of WWGF
Firefox with Onspeed: This page was generated in 0.013 seconds.
Firefox without onspeed This page was generated in 0.016 seconds.
Even tho i have set the acceleration to very high, the image quality loss due to resampling is totally negligible. Afterall, what is my benefit in staring a website logo in high quality. I would care if i was to download high quality images for printing but at the moments with max acceleratin, its not much affected for viewing photo galleries and browsing..
by the way, im having problem logging into the forum when using IE...any one else experiencing it. It tells me i have logged in sucessfully but then when i get redirected to main page.. im not logged in..

Hmmm... I wonder if it would have any success in China ?
<rant> Dirty commie *%#$$%&^~s! </rant>
It would let me surf the North Korean sites. Not that i particularly
care about them, but they are really funny. The BS they print is just
insane. Oh, yeah...

If you are only going to buy onspeed to get around the filter you could just use http://tor.eff.org/ or I2P instead.
Tor will be slow be default as it is meant for anonyimity however just add a manual US server in your config and tell it to only route through one server

Those times are the times the server generates the file, not how fast the page loads. Nothing on the client side side would effect those times.

Tor and JAP are hideously slow.. u dont feel it if u are on a 128K or 256K but on 512K or higher i can easily justify the cost of onspeed

I read some usability studies by IBM where thay had run some tests and found that you needed a 25-35% inmprovement in speed before it was noticeable to the end user.

It should go faster if you tell it to only route through one server instead of 4

well there is a paid version of JAP too.. but nothing beats the simplicity of just suscribing to a remote proxy using nonstandard port. Saudi's were very stringent with the national firewall some time ago, if you placed a different proxy address or no proxy address in your browser you wont be able to surf. But now they are reducing the restrictions mainly to cut down cost and aviod anger of Dubia Jr.
