| i m using 8.1 new version of web wiz but hackers get my admin name 3 times but i think couldnt open dhe admin menu and i get back it...how they could do this while i did all security things mentioned here...help please |

You haven't really explained much. Could you please explain in detail what the hackers have done and how? Also what database version you are using, and what forum version? (there isn't an 8.1 version) |

they entered by admin name and are online with admin name...i m using 8.0 rc1.1...and im using accsess 2000...think hackers from india ...but couldnt do anything ..just looked online like admin and thats all...i think that didnt pass security code... |

It doesn't sound like security was compromised as I would have thought they would have actually done something, also the security system is very secure. When you say they where online, are you referring to an entry in the active users list? If so, this doesn't mean someone is online at that particular time under that account as the active users list, lists users for up to 20 minutes after they left the site. If your IP has changed during this time it can even list you twice. The active users list isn't 100% accurate because of the way HTTP works and isn't connected to the actual login system so you need to take the info in the active users list with a pinch of salt. |

If it is something that needs to be fixed then please let me know. If it doesn't effect 7.96 or version 8 then, let me know anyway, just for my own interest. |
