Got a couple of issues with RC1.1, one I can't quite figure out??

Firstly ... I want to batch move a load of topics to another topic... This is the error I get

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Line 1: Incorrect syntax near ','.

/forum/admin_batch_move_topics.asp, line 98

Also... I have just upgraded using your tool, everything seems fine... But one really strange thing, I have created a new forum and it shows in the forum admin section - BUT when I go to the main forum it doesn't show?? Confused... Same with Sub Forums & Forum Categories? WTF Cry

I can see all my original forums and move them / update them fine??

Will I get my code today if I purchase the license once I have sorted these niggles out?

The first issue is a known issue with the SQL Server version which wants different SQL than Access and mySQL. It has been fixed for the final release.

The second issue, make sure you have given your forums and categories correct order numbers in the admin area.

Noooooooooooooooooo Cry... I've only upgraded today as this thread said there were no reported issues

In regards to the most annoying issue...  I have changed the order numbers and it makes no difference? Confused... Any other ideas?  They appear fine in my admin section, but are totally ignored on the default page Angry

Found the problem Confused....  The default for last_post_author is 1 ... I have no-one allocated to this ID, so changed it to my ID and voila.. Popped up straight away Confused.. Weird hey

There should be a built in admin account with the ID of 1, without this account your forum will have issues and may not run correctly.

The full version 8 will be released VERY soon, so keep your eye out.

It won't be announced like the other releases to prevent an overload of the support system (to may questions at once and I can't cope Wink)

Bruce? ... Did you manage to sort the Avatar issue for people who put up large images?  As I am using the latest firefox and its still an issue?  The image overlaps the posts?

The avatar size was corrected by changing the CSS style sheet for the avatar from max-height to using a fixed size, as IE has yet to catch up with CSS 2 implementation and looks like IE 7 still hasn't caught up.

You can now download the full version 8 from the download page.

Thanks... Downloaded it (And just bought a license - Send ASAP Embarrassed...lol)

The weird thing is I changed the CSS to be a static width and height in RC1.1 and it made no difference?  I'll install V8 and go from there ... Thanks Smile

It should be fine, although it was about 3 weeks ago I worked on it, so can't remember how complete my testing was, but I'm sure I would have tested it fully.

The fixed Avatar CSS works great.

Not only was the actual maxheight/width changed to height/width but the actual selector was changed from # to .

Someone reminded that ID tags are meant to be unique, so I had to change it to a class, but it still uses the ID tag on the registration page.
