The language files between v7 and v8 are very different.

well i guess it will be much easier for all languages to integrate if -boRg- created a folder structure/code design for at least one language: example

forum
   |_languages_File
     |_ En

and have drop down box on defualt.asp page that should be activiated if another language is added to that folder

forum
   |_languages_File
     |_ En
     |_ Ar
     |_ Fr
     etc

Which can be stored in user's cookie, user profile as the preferred language.

How do you mean? Currently the forum software only supports one language at a time.

Not true -

All you need to do is use the old 7.x mod and move the language_files and forum_images to subfolders and then ignore the language files value from the database.

I'll try to write up a tutorial on this next week...

well yeah current one have only one language, and if you want to add another language, you need to create sub folders and modify the default page, etc

for saving images and text to the datbase .... don't you think that this will create database hits?

or are you thinking to load it once the user logged in to the site and load it on his/her session

Hi

We applied the arabic language files

We notice a problem with Rich Text Editor as the emotions disapeared and other features are not working properly:

please check the following website:

http://forums.kahramana.net/new_topic_form.asp?FID=2 - http://forums.kahramana.net/new_topic_form.asp?FID=2

Any Ideas?? Is the problem because of the RightToLeft orientation??
