when i try giving the new function Member permission to a single member, nothing special appears ??

How is it working then -boRg- ?

When im giving a member this special access having right to all stuff, then the member is being denied to do any modstuff :(

I did give the member the status "Moderate this forum" but not rights allowed.

Is it a bug, or am i doing something wrong ?

Error: Object expocted

if I click no then it works but it errors every time.

Even if you grant the user moderator rights in a forum you still need to give that user rights in that foruym to do thibgs like editing, deleting posts, etc. I have double checked this and it is woring as intended.

Could you give me more detail about this error like when does it occur and on what page.

The pop up error is just a javascipt error, just turn off script debugging in IE.

I have checked and doubled checked the permissions for individual members and still can't find a problem, you must be setting it up wrong.

You must have somthing setup wrong as I have tested the moderator functions for individual users again and again in as many different cobminations as I can and still can't find the problem that you mention.

If you are still have problems then just use the group permisisons to create a moderator group to moderate forums.

The installation working fine here, with no errors, not even the debug is showing, so its working pretty fine, just that i can't get the member permission to work :/

Its working if you create an usergroup, but then member permission don't need to be used, and then what is member permission used for ?

Seems to be working in the ½ way :)

Its saying correct Moderators: membername

But the member still don't have any rights at all.

I'm still having the same prob.

I just think its a bug that we will have to work around. Maybe it will be fixed in the final.

If you have upgraded from a previous version then this maybe the problem, there are serveral changes in the forum to SQL stored procedures and SQL queries to get the member permissions to run, without these changes to these quiries it will not function correctly.

There maybe a problem with the SQL query for the access version, the SQL server version I have been using seems to be OK.

Change SQL query around lines 376 to 379 of the file functions_common.asp to the following query:-

strSQL = "SELECT " & strDbTable & "Permissions.* "
  strSQL = strSQL & "FROM " & strDbTable & "Permissions "
  strSQL = strSQL & "WHERE (" & strDbTable & "Permissions.Group_ID = " & intGroupID & " OR " & strDbTable & "Permissions.Author_ID = " & lngLoggedInUserID & ") AND " & strDbTable & "Permissions.Forum_ID = " & intForumID & " "
  strSQL = strSQL & "ORDER BY " & strDbTable & "Permissions.Author_ID DESC;"
