Upgrading V7.x to v8.x
Clean directory (Backup'd the original), placed all new files in the new directory. Backup'd the sql db (running MS SQL2000) Ran the database converter for 7 - 8, it advised all updated fine.
Login to forum using the admin.asp page. Login ok using current user/pass. Looked at all the settings, all are correct.
Goto the main default.asp page and I get this:

An error has occured while connecting to the database. Please contact the forum administrator. Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_db_connection File Name:- common.asp Error details:- Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server Invalid authorization specification ---------------------------------------------------
I'm lost (for now). I can't see how I could have wrong auth for the db if the admin section runs. -puzzled-

Had to do a IISRESET.
