hi -boRg-, i downloaded the v.8 of wwf yesterday and tried on my local MS SQL server today. it is giving me the following error.

----------
Server Error in Forum Application
An error initialising Global Variables from database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_getForumConfigurationData()_get_global_variables
File Name:- global_variables.asp

Error details:-
ADODB.Recordset
Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.
-----------
I used the update tool to upgrade the db from 7.x format to 8.x format. While testing the RC 1.1 it worked alright and was doing A OK. Can you plz point out what is wrong now?

Cheers Smile

This error should not occur.

The only thing I can think is that you have a problem in the database_connection.asp file where the recordset object is created.

Try reuplaoding a fresh copy of the files again to the server.

You need to set permissions to do this from the admin area.

If you look in the help files (top right) it will tell you about the calendar system. These help files are available for all your users.
