Does anyone know any best practices to limit the size of an LDF (transaction log) in MS SQL Server 2000?

I'd like to limit it to a couple GB or so. Under 1 is better though.

ALTER DATABASE [Bluefrog] SET AUTO_SHRINK ON WITH NO_WAIT
GO
ALTER DATABASE [Bluefrog] MODIFY FILE ( NAME = N'Bluefrog_Log', MAXSIZE = 1024000000KB )
GO

Problem with that though is that you may get error messages saying the log is full. I would definately change the db model to simple with

ALTER DATABASE [Bluefrog] SET RECOVERY SIMPLE WITH NO_WAIT
GO
