I know Bruce is probably fed up with me by now Heart Tongue... But am finding out through the grape vine that more and more people are unable to reply to PM's...

I know they are getting messages like

Quote disable script blocking software
or as posted before please put a message in the box etc...

BUT... Didn't the last RTE use Javascript, as they had no problem with that?? and why would it only be affecting PM's Confused ??  I have reuploaded the entire forum (Twice) just to make sure its not a corrupt file... Confused

(My forum has about 1600 members and is very active as you can tell...)

Anyone suggest anything it would be very, very gratefull.... Apart from this I love the new v8 ... Soooooooo quick no matter how many users Thumbs Up

I am looking into another way of implementing the RTE javascript.

But what I can't understand is why your forum is the only one having this big issue with almost all your users unable to send PM's.

There are 100's sent everyday on this site and I have not had anyone tell me they have an issue sending PM's.

The only thing I can think is that some modification you have made to Web Wiz Forums is effecting the sending of PM's.

AHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.... ok .... Defo not any add ins as none of your code has been changed AND I just had the error for no reason trying to post in the quick reply box to a thread...

I think I have found a problem...  The post was from a mod, and he has copied and pasted the content from an email he got (It was a reported message from a member and he got an email about it) - I tried to reply via the quick reply box and got this (I'm using FF .. XP Pro)

NOW.... I thought this was strange as I had been posting all night, so I deleted the pasted content from the message... Saved it ... AND voila.. It let me post my reply (via the quick reply) no pop ups...

Confused... Hope this is of some help as I am sure its nothing to do with corruption, add ins etc... everything has been double checked by me and Aaron (dj air) and I have also just uploaded the entire latest version 8.01 from scratch ...

I am currently working on a completely new method of handling the javascript once the submit button is clicked to try and find a solution.

I'm trying to incorporate the javascript into the actual form using an onClick event instead of capturing the submit in the attached RTE_javascript.asp file. I am hoping by doing this the javascript will fire more accurately, thus preventing such issues.
