It's been a while since i've been around here, but things are getting quieter now so i'm back!
I was just wondering if anyone here could give me their opinion on a web design business i'm starting with a friend. Basically he's a pretty good designer and i'm good at website backends so we've decided to give it a go so we've both got more drinking money I've slapped up a template today and I wanted to know what you people think about it - does it look professional enough, etc.? http://www.opensourceproject.net/ - http://www.opensourceproject.net/
(Bear in mind we don't have a name yet, so the company name and logo still need to be placed in the header)
And has anybody got any hints at getting started in the industry? I know quite a few people around here own thier own web design company.
Cheers,
Martin.

My thought is that almost no one makes money at web design or web hosting. You make money by selling business or personal services that utilize the web. So a business site for those services needs to talk about what they can do for people, not how they do it (e.g. web design, development, hosting)

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

Cheers for the advice. We've decided on the name webtellect (not influenced by wintellect of course), and i've made a new decide which I prefer

EDIT:
Can anybody give me any advice on what kind of price I should charge? And should graphic design be charged differently to programming? And i'm guessing it's best to charge per hour?
