Hello,
Several "power" users would like to start dedicated sub-forums (within single installation) - for example

- I create forum "Nature"
- User1 and User2 will act as a authors for subforums. User1 - "Dogs" and User2 - "Cats"
- User1 and User2 would like to count their subforums' users and would like to use some "rating" system

I think we may create Group1 and Group2, assign permissions to "Dogs" and "Cats", but I need to
- give users ability make request for memberships in Group1/2
- show members' counts for Group1/2

May we do this with WebWiz? Or we should you another (please specify) content management system?
Thank you

Not really sure what you are doing, but groups and member permissions are both supported, as well as a ladder system so that members can move up groups depending on how many posts they make.

Thank you, Bruce.
Author1 will lead sub-forum1 and Author2 will lead sub-forum2. New users (with few posts) should have ability to "join" sub-forum1 or/and sub-forum2 - by joining to appropriate groups

In this case me may start authors' competition - who will have more users in sub-forums (actually - in sub-forum's groups)

To do this, we have to provide to users ability just join groups (w/o ladder system) and show reports which sub-forum have more users (actually - what group have more users )

Please find illustration below

One extra question, please...
Can we show number of specific group's users near the forum name?
So, everyone will see what sub-forum most popular
Thanks

You would need to modify the code to display how many users are in each group.
