Hi -borg-

You suggested in a thread elsewhere that I might upgrade to version 8 to resolve a couple of issues I've been having.

I have a couple of questions, even if logic tells me I know the answer I want to be sure.

My Forum is up and running and I dont want to lose it as it's just starting.

If I backup my SQL Database, and copy all the forum files, will I be able to backout of the upgrade if it does not seem to work?

I am using an Olive Skin that I got from these forums that suits my site perfectly, will I still be able to use an existing skin, or will I have to find one for version 8?

As you might guess, I am new to Web Wiz, although not new to IT.

If you back-up your existing database then you can always go back to that database and version 7.x at any time, by going back to your old backed up database.

Skins have been changed in version 8 to make them more powerful and easier to implement. However, I believe the Olive skin you mention has been updated to work with version 8, if you look in the version 8 skins forum.
