I just upgraded to 8.0. The upgrade went smooth.
I am now having upload issues.
I am getting the following error:
Server Error in Forum Application An error has occured while uploading file/image. Please contact the forum administrator.
Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_upload_footer File Name:- functions_upload.asp
Error details:- aspSmartUpload Bad file name or number
This worked fine in 7.x I have tried playing around with the upload config settings. My forum is in a sub-directory from the root called "forum" ad my upload folder is called uploads. My upload Folder Path is set to "../forum/uploads".
Any ideas. My folder permissions are now set to 777 to elimiate any permission problems.

I read the following thread: http://forums.webwiz.net/forum_posts.asp?TID=19426&KW=SQLServer%5Fupload%5Ffooter
This seems to be the same problem.

Not to keep adding to this post, but I have another related problem.
If I log in using IE7 I get the image upload button, but when I use firefox or IE6 the button is not showing. The file upload button is working fine. I have check the group permissions.
-Also in the past when I uploaded and image it was shown immediatly in the edit box. Now it just shows the link to the image and not the actual image. Is this a setting somewhere?
Thanks again.

IE7 at the moment isn't supported by the RTE so you get a more basic upload system.
With other browsers it sounds like you are using the file upload
instead of the image upload, which is why you get a link instead of the
image.
To use the image upload click on the image button, if image uploads are enabled you will see an upload button at the bottom of the pop-up window used for images.
