Anyone know where the source for the Sharepoint code is?

I'm part of a small team evaluating it for possible internal uses.  So far I like what I'm seeing although I can get lost in it without a lot of effort.  I got curious as to the code behind it and went looking but don't see it.

Anyone else working with it on a technical/admin level?

The code behind Sharepoint is in dll's as it is written in asp.net. There is no real way for you to see the code.

I thought only ASP.NET 2 could be converted to a dll?

Or did Sharepoint use a Microsoft only tool?

Nothing's being converted, it's just code behind, which has been a feature since 1.0. Not sure if they've obfuscated it or anything but in theory you could peek at the source using reflector.

Acutally they are using a lot of Office Interop using their C++ Office Libs. Would be very hard to get useful stuff out of there.
