It was originally called back then 'ASP Discussion Forum', I think the name changed around version 5 at the end of 2001 when the WYSIWYG Editor was introduced.

At the time Web Wiz Forums was the first forum to include a WYSIWYG Editor.

id imagine that V1 would have SO many security flaws (if security at that)
so it might not be that good of an idea to try to find one

and i noticed that "mikey" too, i was confused since you joined 2003 yet posted 2001

Well you could argue because it was much simpler there was less opportunity for security flaws, but your probably right.

I remember using versions looking like that, can't exactly remember what ones though!

There is only so much you can write. I think this forum picked up a bit of traffic since V8 but in general it appears it has gotten a little slower.

I don't even have version 1 myself, it got modified years ago.

The oldest version I have is version 2.65, and I only got that because someone found it a few years ago on another web site.

Version 1 was only very simple with only around 10 files, and no security, as I wrote it in the first month of learning ASP. I released it through an old homepage portal type site I had called surf-net.co.uk back in early 2000, when I was at college. The site no longer exists any more.
