Have v8 installed

Have both aspSmartUpload and Dundas

Had Smart upload setup first - tested with their interface and after about 20 minutes I had a few unexpected bugs figured out and its working

I then set the forum up to use it as the upload component - it seemed to work as it ran through the whole process and brought me to the final step were you POST your message - then I got an error

http://localhost/new_post.asp?PN=1 - http://localhost/new_post.asp?PN=1 is what shows in my URL address window after clicking POST REPLY and the webpage says page cannot be displayed

I was advised it could be the aspSmartUpload so I took that one down, got Dundas, installed that and tested it with their samples - it worked

I set the forum up to use dundas and then tried the same thing again

Same response

I went into the web directory of the forum and i can confirm that the file was uploaded to the uploads/temp directory - the files are there.

Any ideas why when I test with the asp samples from either uploader it seems to work with no errors, but when i do it from the forum its a no go

You need to turn off friendly HTTP error messages in IE

boRg,

We upgraded to 8.x today and now we get the following message when posting replies:

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occured while sending an email.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_Access_send_mail_footer
File Name:- functions_send_mail.asp

Error details:-
Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Type mismatch

So far everything else seems to be working.

This error is occurring when the forum is sending an email notifications.

It could be a corrupted file, so try reuploading the files again first, if that fails check that your email settings are correct in the admin area, or try a different email component if you have any others installed on the server.
